Guava Chilli Gin Cooler

It’s been a while since I posted a recipe, but here comes one that is super easy and great for a relaxing day or a party 🙂

I love a good G&T, especially one with amped flavour. This guava and chilli combo is a childhood favourite and turns out that it makes for a great drink too 🙂

You just need guavas , lemon and some spices to make the concentrate. Easy! If you don’t want to make this an alcoholic drink you can just mix it with soda or tonic as well.

I like it with soda instead of tonic but you can mix both. It’s a savoury, slightly sweet drink and you will definitely go back for more 🙂

Guava Chilli Gin Cooler

  • Servings: 20-25 small drinks
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Print

Ingredients

  • 1 kg guava
  • 3-3.5 cups water
  • 2.5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat masala
  • 1 tsp black salt
  • 8 tsp lemon juice
  • 750 ml gin
  • 750 ml soda/tonic
  • Ice cubes per preference

Directions

  1. Wash and cut the guavas into 2 inch pieces
  2. Blitz the rest of the ingredients (except gin and soda/tonic) in a juicer till you get a smooth mix. Add the water in parts (starting with 1 cup) till you get a smooth mix that is slightly thick in consistency
  3. Strain the juice into a jug
  4. To make the cocktail, add 3-4 ice cubes in a glass. To the glass add 30 ml gin, 60 ml guava chilli concentrate, 60 ml soda/tonic and mix well. You can modify these proportions based on your taste preference too
